![]() ![]() Adding Eobard Thawne to the Flash movie would've just been retreading the same ground that the Fastest Man Alive has continually run upon for over a decade at this point. It doesn't help that both the comics and the TV show continued bringing him back to life after the most definitive of deaths, turning his return into more of a trite joke than an exciting development. Who is Hunter Zolomon Having lost his mother in childbirth, and been bounced from one foster home to another before finding a permanent family, the man who would have been 'Jay Garrick' goes by the name 'Hunter Zolomon. The Flashs weakness is getting hurt by things like bullets and pointy objects. ![]() Barrys parents were killed by an enemy he hadnt even made yet. He hates adult Barry Allen so much that he goes back in time to kill Barrys parents. Hes from the future and he time travels a lot. Thawne himself is incredibly one-note, and while such a classically evil villain isn't a problem, it becomes boring when he's apparently the dark specter behind all the ills in Barry's life. This is confusing because last seasons villain, Reverse-Flash, has also gone by Professor Zoom in DC Comics. Professor Zoom got his powers the same way the Flash did. To put it bluntly, Reverse Flash has become incredibly overused, and it's a symptom of the property focusing so much on the rather dull Barry Allen. This has given the Scarlet Speedster an upgrade in the villain department, but it's now become more of a detriment than a supplement. ![]() I understand the depths it will drag one down to. I have taken the name and colors from Eobard Thawne - the time traveler known as Professor Zoom - in order to terrorize my friend. Be it the current comic books or The CW's recently concluded Flash TV series, Eobard Thawne has gone from a notable but largely forgotten member of The Flash's old-school rogues' gallery to one of DC's most ubiquitous villains. Despite what the public believes, I am the fastest man alive. ![]()
